Vaccines for adults are recommended on the basis of their age, previous vaccinations, health, lifestyle, occupation and where you travel.

What factors affect my vaccine recommendations?
Several factors can affect whether you should - obtain certain vaccinations or wait before getting it. Make sure you, your doctor tell if you:
- Are or may be pregnant
- Are breastfeeding,
- Are moderately or seriously ill or is a chronic disease
- Have severe allergies
- Had a severe allergic reaction to a previous dose of a vaccine
- Had a disorder in which the body's immune system attacks your nerves, such as Guillain-Barré Syndrome
- Have a weakened immune system or are treated with an immunosuppressant
- Recently did a different vaccine
- Recently had received a transfusion or other blood products
- A personal or family history of seizures
